Everything about BLACKPINK!

The word K-pop has,of late, become almost synonymous with the le�ers B, T, S. But
there’s another K-pop group that’s been breaking records as their music captures the
a�en�on of global audience. Blackpink, a girl group consis�ng of four members, Jisoo,
Jennie, Rose and Lisa debuted as a group in 2016 with their album ‘Square Two’.

Their song “Ddu-Du-Ddu-Du” is currently the most-watched music video by a girl K-pop group on Youtube, boas�ng
1.4billion views. They are also breaking social media records. Lisa, main dancer of the group and the Youngest
member has 46.1 million followers. She is the most followed female K-pop ar�st on Instagram.
On 31st January, they held their first virtual live show on Youtube. The band approximately made over 11.7 billion
yen(more than 10.5 million dollars). About 280,000 fans from all over the world a�ended the concert. It is the
biggest number of livestream concert audience gathered by a K-pop girl group in history.
They released their first full album on 2nd October, 2020. The album’s �tle song 'Lovesick Girls' launched at No. 1
on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. It also debuted at No.59 on the Billboard Hot 100(dated Oct. 17).

Pain�ngs by The last year of my school
Dhanvi Hrudya of class XI This is the last year of my school. Very soon my school life

will end. This ending means a lot to me. Ending of stupid
fights between friends, ending of smiling without any
reason, ending of sharing �ffin with friends, ending of
shou�ng in absence of teachers in class. These days will
never come back again. I am going to miss our playground,
our annual day, our assembly hall. Whenever I think about
it, tears come from my eyes. I have been studying in
Sherwood since class 2. I am very lucky that I got a chance
to be studying here. Every day and every moment of my
school life was filled with teachers' love and guidance and
coopera�on, which brought me here today.

Sherwood is my world, my wonderland, my comfort zone.
An important stage of my life is going to be over very soon
with a promise that we will preserve safely the sweet
memories of our school days.
